In-Process & Final Inspections for Manufacturing

  • Conduct inspections at assigned hold points and report as required during manufacturing (weld, grinding & EP), Pre-FAT, and packaging / crating of equipment.
  • Interaction with Authorized Inspectors as required to complete all hold point inspections, certified vessel tests, and certified vessel documents.
  • Execute and report Liquid Dye Penetrant Testing as required.
    • Assist with inspections of incoming and ABEC manufactured components including associated documentation, in process, and final products to ensure quality.
  • Create, file, confirm complete, close Discrepant Reports, and return discrepant materials as required.
  • Use of all necessary testing equipment to perform all required inspections.
  • Accurate logging of all lot and serial tracked materials and components in the ERP system and databases.
  • Ensure proper and complete receipt of all required documentation.
    • Conduct administrative functions as required.
  • Assist Quality team lead with the control of outsourced calibration of equipment.
  • Asset Quality team lead with control test equipment cabinet and issuance of test equipment within ABEC.
  • Filing of project and quality department documentation for Turnover Packages (TOP’s) and other quality archives.
  • Interaction with customers during Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs).
    • Travel to other ABEC facilities and customer sites as required
    • Follow all ABEC safety rules and corporate policies.
    • Execute other tasks as assigned.


Education: HS Diploma minimum, Associate Degree in a technical field preferred.

Work Experience required: 3 years post graduate work in a related field.

Specific Training: ASME Sections VIII & IX minimum; Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred but not mandatory.
