Overview

The Electrical Assembler applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test, build, and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry in industrial plants and laboratories.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Fabricate electrical equipment according to drawings
  • Receive components and confirm against drawing and/or list of materials or quality standards
  • Solder/fit/assemble components
  • Fabricate specialty parts
  • Recommend improvements
  • Conduct operations in a safe manner
  • Follow all safety rules and policies
  • Inspect fabrications for quality, safety, and operation as requested
  • Audit equipment against drawings as requested
  • Prepare equipment for shipment
  • Support fabrications for quality, safety and operation as requested
  • Audit equipment against drawings as requested
  • Prepare equipment for shipment
  • Support start up and equipment repair as requested
  • Trouble short and repair systems as requested
  • Execute other tasks as assigned
  • Domestic and International Travel is required

 

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Certificate, training in Electrical Assembly or Industrial Controls highly desirable
  • Work Experience: Two (2) years previous fabrication experience preferred
  • Other Requirements:
    • Required to be able to perform simple math equations
    • Must be able to read a tape measure
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Exceptional verbal communication skills
    • Must be proficient with the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools.
    • Self-motivated
    • Must be proficient in reading blue prints
    • Necessary to be able to maintain a clean and safe working environment
    • Ability to lift 50 pound
